A Raleigh scattering model is used to compute the colors of the sky and reflections automatically based on the sun's elevation. This is a still from a movie in which there is a simulation of a sunrise and a atmospheric catastrophe as we might see in a nuclear winter. A full resolution version of this image is avaiable here.
